Janseva or service to mankind is the motto of this institution. It does not ask for any donation, contribution or funds. They come on their own and from anonymous devotees who shun publicity. The rent is paid, the flyers (invitation letters) printed, the postage is paid, the Prasaad is distributed, and Maha Prasaad (food) is served. The show goes on. All that these devotees seek is the permission and blessings of their deity-like Guru Shree Ramdashji Maharaj, the 9th Manhant, Shree Santram Mandir, in Nadiad , who prohibits all kind of fund solicitations as the traditions set forth by Shree Santram Maharaj.
Apart from organizing “Bhakta Milan”, get together for devotees, the samaj also organizes three main events at all centers: Maha Purnima, Guru Purnima, and Diwali festival with spontaneous offers of gifts from devotees that make celebrations not only possible but also glowing success. In addition, there is a new dimension to the community services which includes Medical checkup camps, Free dental camp, dental screening, Free flu shots, Free eye screening, and diabetic detection.
For the Diwali celebration, on November 1st, 2008, Santram Satsang was organized at Essex County College –Gymnasium in Newark, New Jersey. For the celebration of Santram Satsang, Pujya Shree Ramdashji Maharaj inaugurated Santram Satsang with “ Mangla Charan and path” of Shree Sunderkand of Ram Charit Manas from Nadiad, Gujarat via telephone and followed music bhajans by Raj and Smruti Pandya. Over 2000 devotees all across America participated in Santram Satsang.
During the satsang, in presence of 2000 devotees, Recognition plaque and Prasad was awarded to Rupal J. Shah (Radhe), N.J. by Santram Sevak Dr. Manisha S. Patel, New Jersey for her honorary services to Santram Bhakta Samaj.
First time ever,colorful Santram Panchang with detailed information about the Santram Mandir, Nadiad & its branches in India was distributed to all bhaktas with the courtesy of Surya & Anil Patel family of New Jersey as a Satsang Prasaadi.
On November 2nd, 2008, Sunday morning, Free Flu Shots Camp was organized at Dr. Indravadan T. Patel’s private office in Edison, N.J. In this camp, local professional including Dr. Manisha S. Patel, Dr. Tushar B. Patel, Dr. Vindod G. Patel, and Dr. Indravadan T. Patel provided their honorary services to the registered participants for flu vaccines before winter season starts. Approximately 400 participants were planned to vaccinate with the flu shot free of charge which was organized by Santram Bhakta Samaj, U.S.A.
On November 3rd, Monday, the samaj also organized Free Eye Screening Camp for the community at Patel Eye Associates in Edison, New Jersey. In this camp, honorary services were provided by Dr. Hitesh K. Patel and technical support were provided by his office staff, for the benefit of Indian community. Approximately, 43 persons registered for this camp, and took the advantage for this eye screening camp which was organized Santram Bhakta Samaj- U.S.A. Santram Bhakta Samaj – U.S.A.
With the blessing of Brahamleen Pujya Shree Narayandasji Maharaj, the Santram Bhakta Samaj was founded on July 3rd,1993 for the celebration of Guru Purnima in New Jersey. Maha Prasaad-dinner was served to all devotees after satsang was over around 7 p.m. Only spiritual affinity and sincere devotion can make this kind of humanitarian activities along withBhakti possible in a materialistic country like America.
